Quick Lock and Release system for light bulb extension parts

I have a personal IOT product idea. I almost done with the electronic part.

This IOT device will have many module as cylinder parts. So each part will be attached to the main bottom part which will have power adapter. so think like bottom part will provide the power to all modules.

all modules will be cylinder shape and i need a quick and easy lock and release mechanism for each cylinder. BTW this device will be hang on a ceiling, it may be carrying some loads so mechanism must be secure and strong while carrying the load. maybe 2-3 kg.

mechanism must be invisible inside any button or function should not be visible too much this may effect the product design .

you can remove the whole device from ceiling and remove the modules and connect them and place it on ceiling again.

inside the cylinder there will be some pins to transfer power and data to the another part.

some sketches we have drew but they are not all. I dont want to share all details here.

I need inventors or very well experienced mechanic engineer to create this mechanism idea and simulation. First i would like to hear your idea. This mechanism must be very well thought.

BTW I m searching more then 1 freelancer , because i need more idea. So if you see that i awarded someone please consider yourself as well. This is an RnD project for me and i need different eyes and minds.
