Connect RESTful API to Wordpress Template

I want to buy a Wordpress Theme (travel agency) and connect it to a content API for search capability. I have the API key and login info. The Wordpress theme I want to use is love-travel-creative-travel-agency-wordpress

Is this possible? If so, how can I hire someone to make that connection for me to do the testing and set up the website? I dont need help with the Wordpress theme customization or design. I will handle all that stuff. I just need help with all of the API related stuff.
