Creative UI and Data Visualization Expert

Must be innovative and able to think beyond existing paradigms as the most challenging part requires expertise with large scale data visualization and manipulation. Must create new metaphors for data entry UI--if you think like Michael Bostock then please apply.

Expertise with React.js - D3.js required, Node.js - Python helpful.

LARGE SCALE DATA VISUALIZATION AND MANIPULATION

Must be able to think creatively beyond traditional paradigms as the most challenging part requires experience with large scale data visualization and manipulation.


PORTFOLIO

In your cover letter point to your portfolio that is representative of your work that shows you can excel at the above two tasks. Point to the specific tool that you designed on your own so I dont waste time reviewing a site with no tools.

If you do not have examples and still think you have the expertise then you must be willing to spend uncompensated time to create a sample design.


AVAILABILITY

We are ready to start. Contract engagement for now, may lead to full-time employment. Compensation commensurate with expertise (not experience).


LEGAL

Before I provide proprietary information including current UIs, plans, etc., you must sign a basic, one-page NDA so be prepared to send a private email. All work will be billing and tracked through Toogit.


TASKS

1. Design UI for tool for to visualize and manipulate hundreds and thousands of objects.

Users are domain experts not programmers or techies.

2. Design UI for tool for entering and managing data on many dimensions.

Users are domain experts not programmers or techies.


Flexibility to work with California timezone is a must.
