Engineering lead - recommendation engine

We are a new startup looking to revolutionize the gathering and distribution of video news. We have an experienced team and seed investment. We are now looking to hire an Engineering Lead to lead the development and launch of one of the key systems of the service we plan to launch.

This is a lead technical role in the company and will be primarily responsible for the development and maintenance of a recommendation engine which will operate based on information gathered directly and indirectly from users as well as for contributing to the overall system architecture and design of the service. This includes selection, configuration, customization and integration of key technologies; hiring & leading other technical resources as well as collaborating with other teams.

We are looking for someone who is up for the challenge of a fast moving startup, is ready to code as well as lead, has relevant experience and is interested in working on a team to bring a service to market that can change the video news industry.

*Required Education and Experience*

1. At least three years of experience developing and bringing to market consumer recommendation engines based on direct and indirect user information or six years of experience developing related software with project management experience.

2. B.S. in computer engineering/computer science or substantial relevant experience.

*Preferred Education and Experience*

1. Degree and/or experience with news in particular or media in general in the context of recommendation engines.
