BACKGROUND - I started a WP.com blog about 4.5 years ago and then started to write novels. Authors said go self-hosting and I did to build a mailing list (Using Bluehost). I did it all myself. For the last year I have concentrated on writing 2 series of novels (7 books) and have neglected my website, intentionally so I can produce books to sell. Although I learned a lot, the self-hosting move was laborious and painful. I cant remember how to do half the things I did when I start to re-organise for a relaunch, like integrating Mailchimp. I know WP.com is restrictive but compared to before when I used it WP.Org is hard work. I still get about 20 visitors a day doing nothing, but they are of no value until I gear up. My email list is piddling. My focus has changed so I either need to re-engineer my site or start a new one from scratch (prefer not to).

OBJECTIVES - SIMPLIFY, so I can manage easily. DELETE redundant blog posts without causing 404s. DISPLAY my books attractively. OFFER reader magnets compellingly to BUILD A MAILING LIST. USE MY NAME AS THE BRAND. START a newsletter.
I NEED:
1. a tekky to clean up all the back-end stuff and SEO.
2. to simplify (Sydney is too difficult). I dont like the way books and posts are displayed. My name should be my brand, not the domain name.
3. to rebuild site and choose when to go live.
4. to optimize.
5. to leave me with a site where I can change the content and focus on readers and list building.

Further info:
I havent completed the 7 books I need before I re-launch yet, but should have this done by September. The books you see on my website will be unpublished (they were an experiment. I learned a lot). I plan to commit 100% to Amazon.
You may think Its too early to redo the website but I like to plan forward.
I have limited resources so am being careful. Doing everything myself so far has taught me a lot and if I get it right I am confident I will sell enough books to fund a dynamic sustainable business one step at a time.
i will share covers for my first series which I made myself with shortlisted candidates. (I cant afford Pro designers yet)
