Wpml multi language plugin problem

Hi,

I need help on our website for aticles. Articles in French do not appear, English articles appear well. There is a problem with the WPML plugin. The plugin instructs to click on clear languages and repopulate them but this option is nowhere to be found . The version of WordPress needs updating and other plugins as well.
The database in MySQL needs to be backed up before doing anything on the site.
