API - Data Handler / convertor

A way to have API data come from a server and be modified before being pushed to another server via API.
i think this is called a handler, but i am not the expert in this.

i have data coming from server 1 in JSON and i want to be able to push this across to server 2 also JSON.
i am told that the API format from Server 1 is not the same as the data format required by server 2.
