Representing BITs cloud enablement and management capabilities to prospective customers and existing customer base, and influencing customer expectations according to product and management capabilities and constraints
- Determining client requirements and providing solution design and technical descriptions.
- Working closely with customers to understand their requirements, map those to BIT service offerings, and propose differentiated solutions.
- Deep understanding of Cloud deployments (experience with Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Experience with container solutions (Kubernetes) preferred
- Experience with application development concepts and technologies (e.g. CI/CD, DevOps, Python, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform)
- Acting as a thought leader at BIT and utilizing your in-depth knowledge around the technical aspects of all our cloud services and the industry, including: Cloud Computing: Amazon Web Services, Azure, Google Cloud, Managed Cloud Services, Professional Services and Consulting engagements.
- Teaming up with Business Development Executives and Technical Account Managers to develop a high-quality sales funnel and to co-lead campaigns to win opportunities and meet/exceed sales and revenue targets
- Develop and present SOWs and associated technical documentation in collaboration with engineering.
- Respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including all technical aspects of RFP/RFQs.
- Work hands-on with customers to demonstrate BIT solution integrations in customer/partner environments; execute POCs
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Use technical skills to demonstrate to potential customers the usefulness of BIT products or services and how it may suit the customer better than competing products or services.
- Provide product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
- Prepare detailed presentations that show clients the BIT services info, pricing, and benefits.
- Collaborate with BIT and Partner engineering to determine how products and services could be made or modified to suit the needs of the customer.
- Acquire new business by winning client confidence and discovering new opportunities.
- Prepare sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and engineering and application trends.
- Contribute to overall team success by helping other team members as needed.
- Maintain excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Traveling to client sites for meetings, presentations, demos, or POV/POC purpose as and when required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.A. /B.S. Degree is required (possible exceptions if offset by professional experience and track record)
- 10+ years of enterprise experience in a solution engineer or solutions architect role
- Cloud certifications in either AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus
- Operational experience in delivering/running cloud managed services and/or professional services is preferred.
- Proven ability to sell both professional and managed services into Fortune 2000 accounts as the technical sales lead
- Technical and operational acumen with developing solutions for pricing of cloud migration and managed services
- Strong understanding of cloud technology with a broad understanding of infrastructure and large ecosystem technologies
- You will be expected to develop a deep understanding of industry trends and competitive offerings
- Solid understanding of the technical and operational strengths and weaknesses of competition in the cloud managed services space- and ability to adeptly position BIT in light of that knowledge
- Track record juggling the pursuit of multiple opportunities across different lines of business and several BDEs simultaneously
- Understanding of target industries (technology, SaaS/ISV, healthcare/pharma/biotech, financial services) and solution areas (Iaas, PaaS, SaaS, DevOps, Security, Networking, SysAdmin, Data Center Consolidation/Migration, Public/Private/Hybrid Cloud)
