Data Center Rebuild

Assessment.
The contractor shall take up to 5 working days (40 hours) perform an on-site assessment
of the data center, to include interviews with government employees, off-line assessments, and data calls, to determine the current state of the data center. Contractor and government representative shall schedule and conduct the on-site assessment

Plans
Contractor shall analyze the data and design two replacement solutions compatible with
government regulations concerning the transmittal of sensitive but unclassified information and with the Unified Capabilities (UC) Approved Products List (APL). Contractor shall provide the solutions, in searchable PDF format.

The contractor shall provide one plan to refurbish/replace components on a one-for-one basis, i.e.
server for server, router for router, SAN for SAN. Contractor shall ensure that the new components have a minimum of five years before reaching manufacturer end of support.
The contractor shall provide the second plan to replace the data center with a different concept such a hyper converged infrastructure (HCI) solution or other plan that utilizes emerging technologies to support data, processing, networking, and information security requirements.

The contractor plans may envision the re-use of any government-owned equipment. However,
reliability and sustainability are major considerations and the install must provide a highly reliable
solution that does not require any life cycle replacement for a minimum of five years.
