Those that do data analysis or data wrangling only wont be considered. Ideally, you are a pro with design first, and a Tableau user 2nd.
Im open to using another tool for creating the data parts of the visual, but only if it doesnt make it easy to embed to another location, as does tableau public, of the visualization and to embed with no links on another website. I know Tableau so like to be able to create examples and mock-up for/with you.
My interest here is to promote the page the visualization is on. Design is critical, so an alternative cant be visually dull.
You will create 2 interactive visualizations using Tableau. I can embed on my clients websites/blogs, and hopefully on third-party sites if they agree to link and give attribution to my clients (editorial websites).
I want to make 10-30 more after we knock out the first two. So the first would be a template of sorts where the others follow the same layout and use design elements (type of data would be very similar for each, but cover different topics. Visuals like icons would also be different).
The data uses Google and YouTube and Amazon search metrics that very few people know how to access (legally), and provides granular information per country. You do not need to do data compilation. The heavy lifting there is from my staff and I. There is no need to attach to a database: the final data I give you can live in a CSV for Tableau
Most involve 5 countries and search volume by topic and search volume by keywords in the topic and search volume by parent topic.
For example, looking at Canada, Virgin Airlines London to Toronto has a search volume of xyz and the sub topic is cities. The sub-topic is comprised of 10 total search terms I examined. There are 4 subtopics like price, cities, informational, and transactional. Virgin Airlines is the parent topic. The data vis might look at this parent topic and subtopic and keywords in 5 countries.
You can see a very simple comparison of just 3 countries and 2 topics in the mock-up. This has zero design added to it.
The more important component MAY actually be your ability to create the layout and design. Ill want to include illustrations, icons, photos, and/or abstract design elements. In essence, that part is like doing an infographic.
Some may be done with a map visualization, but again the goal is to create 2-3 templated ways of doing this and then you work on other topics to slightly alter with new data, topic images, and colors and fonts.
