RBT located in Placentia, CA is looking for an Electrical Estimator: This is a full time position available with an established electrical contracting firm.
RBT is looking for an Electrical Estimator to be an integral part of our team. Potential prospects need to be self-starters with focus and a commitment to ensuring a standard of excellence while following RBTs policies and procedures. Our Electrical Estimator will be responsible for calculating the cost of electrical construction by reviewing and evaluating available documents and developing accurate, competitive and profitable bid proposals for a variety of electrical projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with operations team to ensure 1st in class execution of project on time and budget.
Follow and monitor ongoing projects and quote contemplated change notices.
Keep up-to-date proposal log.
Perform estimates from electrical drawings and control drawings or as seen on site.
Coordinate work with Subcontractors, when required. Follow-up on the progress of projects and if necessary, perform site visit. Manage administrative task when requested.
Develop budget estimates by performing accurate quantity take offs using plans and specifications, or conceptual information.
Review, interpret and accurately estimate the scope of work as described in the project documents.
Develop RFQ/RFP documents for the solicitation of subcontractor proposal and vendor bids or quotations.
Develop and nurture subcontractor/vendor and client relationships.
Evaluate project scope changes and prepare change order estimates.
Review schedule and constructability issues as they relate to project cost.
Prepare conceptual estimates from minimal design information.
Ensure flow of project information is maintained and documented.
Support senior management by providing needed take-offs, bid preparation, quote solicitations, etc.
Develop and grow working relationships with new and existing clients, conducting business development and selling projects; prospect for new projects.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 Years Electrical Estimating Experience
Desire to learn and improve Estimating Skills
Computer Knowledge of MS Word and Excel
Construction Project Experience a plus
