Entertainment and small business advice needed

Hi there!

I am a singer/songwriter looking to form a business, begin a recording project in a few months. Below are some highlights:

-advice on business formation: Which state, which type of entity is best suited for my business(LLC?), how does tax liabilities work in my favor, do I establish one or two entities, business name (PR marketing purposes vs possible future litigation). Do i need one as a performing artist and for songwriting or can operate all under one entity.

-advice on near furure decisions for trademarking and licensing

-previous songs recorded with a producer: the final product was not to my liking and do not know how to ask for the raw recordings and permissions. I never recieved the copywright, no agreement was signed.

-main points to include in a future contractual agreement with artists or producers

-to become more knowledgeable about the business aspect of the music business
