Help Google Sheets: Mass Upload of Protected Ranges or Google Forms to Autofill ex GoogSts.

Have a month long event taking place in which we have gotten way more participation than expected. Because of this, the process of manual data entry is no longer option. We have an existing Google Sheets doc, which is creating live Leaderboard. Looking for a solution. Here are two options I have thought of but do not know how to do:

1. In existing Google Sheet, figure out how the mass import instructions for Secured Ranges. I know how to do one at a time, but that is way too time consuming. We can create a csv file with everything that is needed. Just do not know how to upload. Is this possible? If so, does it take long?

2. If option 1 doesnt work, can we create a google form in which participants will fill out and either submit or email to us. Then google would auto fill pre existing specified cells. Is this an option?

3. Do you have a better solution? I am not an excel or google sheets wizard. I put on running events and do to virus have had to adapt.
