We are planning to remodel a 1968 house and looking for an open concept in the main living areas. The challenge is we have a basement stairs running through the middle of the Living/Dining and Den/Kitchen. We are looking to see if the stairs can be moved or reconfigured to create an open plan which will work for the families. I drew a rough sketch on how the existing floor plan is .
