Mechanical Design & DFM Engineer

Your skills and expertise will help us to bring our concept design to a fully manufactured product. We are looking for a mechanical engineer who can think creatively, with a problem solving attitude. We highly value engineers that can speak clearly and explain technical details in a clear, concise and logical manner. Exploratory thinking, decision making and your suggestions will be reviewed by a team of Industrial design engineers.

Skills required:

*Product enclosure design
*Error proofing assembly design
*Electronic components: PCBA, wiring, sensors, switches and power source layouts
*UV, UVC, LED placement and distribution (For lighting and sanitizing applications)
*Conveyor mechanics
-Curtain roller conveyors
-Belt conveyors
-Gravity assisted friction conveyors
-Part alignment
-Gears, Flywheels and hysteresis
*Motion control systems: Direct drive, VFD and Servos
*Material selection
*Spring mechanics

*Tooling:
-Plastic injection
-Metal stamping
-Metal extrusion
-Rubber extrusion

Experience in building a DFM product, working with tooling engineers, mold makers and troubleshooting mass-production issues is mandatory.

Ultra clear communication will be required for this job. Using your time efficiently, and explaining complex engineering problems in a way that our design and production team can understand is a highly valued asset.
