We need from time to time to extract the content of a production MySQL database to insert it into a pre-production database. Our database has some views and some table whose data is not relevant (audit data). In that case we extract only the definition of these tables.
Today we do that with the production PhpMyAdmin, manually deselecting some tables before exporting a file and then with the pre-production PhpMyAdmin where we have to submit the export file maybe 5 or 6 times due the long import time.
We want to automate this process. Our idea is to have one server script in production and one client script in pre-production with security mechanisms, but other suitable solutions could be used.
Our web applications language is Php 7.
