Need a design for a new logo for a video blog

A colleague (and good friend) Ive work with for over 20 years are working on a video blog. We have worked mainly in the health insurance industry, which tends to get a pretty bad rap (sometimes rightfully so). We are going to use our video blog to interview industry friends, to show the value (and fun) of a career in healthcare. Dave (my friend) and I have a pretty casual and laid-back approach to the blogs, and would like to have a logo we can use with them. The title of the blog is Friends in Benefits (clearly a play on the phrase) and we plan to talk about our awesome friends in benefits...including their awesome career paths, awesome (and crazy) benefit stories. The video blog will also have a charitable component as we highlight a different cause each week.

For our logo, we actually think we want it to be a caricature or cartoon of our two faces. Hopefully a simple drawing (looks simple, we know its not simple to create) that shows our personalities (big smiles, engaging, warm, etc.). We still expect to be in suit and ties in the drawing (although in my head you dont see much of our dress beyond our upper chests) to show were professionals, but perhaps it can all be in colors that keep it trendy and not too stuffy. Ive attached our headshots and some other logos we looked at online that kind of inspired us. There are some notes that might help better explain our ideas too.
