We are using Munlias MA40H1S Ultrasoud transducer for detecting obstacles up to a range of 2m.
The 40KHz signal is transmitted for 200uSecs and the reflections are captured to measure up to 230cm.
The received signals are run through Goertzel to capture only 40KHz signal strength.
We are getting peak reflections from the obstacle. However, we get so many other peaks too which makes it hard to detect the distance of the object in line of sight.
We need help in
1) Getting directional information by processing the received signals to categorize them on angular range.
2) In applying a temporal filter to eliminate spurious one time reflections
3) In applying a temporal processing to detect object in motion.

We have only 1 receiver on board.
