Personal software re-engineered

I had someone build me my own music notation software a decade ago. I dont have the source code. I type in musical notation, then output .avi files (currently). The final video file produced has a red cursor scrolling through the music notation on screen. I then line this up with drum lesson videos, so that the music notation (with cursor) is in sync with my drumming video - its a cool teaching tool. The problem is this software was built before 4K workflow was a thing, and now the exported files are too small on screen in my 4K project file, and when I go to resize them, they naturally pixelate and blur. All I need is one minor adjustment - the ability to export these video files in 4K dimensions.. hell even 1060 at 60fps would be good! Im not sure if this is possible without the source code? Im here to find out... thank you.
