Push transactions data from Rails controller to GTM/Google Analytics for ecommerce tracking

In our custom Rails-based ecommerce site we have Google analytics integration through Google Tag Manager. On a successful transaction we want it to push the relevant order information to Google Analytics.

We dont want to use this using the order confirmation page because a lot of users dont view this page and when they pay using bank transfer the transaction is only called successful after a couple of days using a webhook (which should trigger the transaction event).

We are using simple GA ecommerce integration through GTM.
