Redesign of postgresql DB very specialised usage / big tables / few big queries than need to be fast

deliverable : tables design, configuration file, query much faster than today
we are a nice startup doing automated operations sstems ( ordering and business insights)

We are noobs in postgres and for sure someone with experience will laugh at our challenge but for the first time in years uncle google proved not enough
We do not fear any challenge, we just do it :-)
attached the probably poor design of our main table, around 300 unique dates , for each date 25k indexes and for each index around 10 names, that makes around 40 M rows. Also i will share our typical query that takes 35 seconds in postgres to execute, 55 seconds from script in RStudio.

We would like to grow now so the just do it approach has its limits and would like you to advice us on proper desing of tables and DB archi
