Looking for an experienced Android engineer to help with building a production-ready Android SDK and a reference mobile app.
We have a production-ready iOS SDK that enables our customers to add computer vision and machine learning tools to their iOS apps. We are working to create a similar SDK for Android and are looking for a senior, expert-level Android engineer with experience building and deploying into production Android SDKs and libraries in computer vision and AI domains.
You will be starting from our existing iOS SDK and working with our team to implement a similar solution for Android.
TASKS FOR THIS PROJECT WILL INCLUDE:
- Write Android library and a companion demo app to show the key features of the library
- Create reusable code for interacting with the camera and retrieving images
- Create reusable code for running TensorFlow Lite models on the images from the preview layer
- Implement image utils for resizing and preprocessing images
* Implement code for concurrently running several neural networks on Android devices
- Implement code for opening files that are restricted to the android library (a TFLite graph, labels file, sqlite)
SKILLS:
* Over 4 years of Android development
* Demonstrated experience creating production-ready Android SDKs and apps
* Kotlin and Java
* Experience with computer vision, TensorFlow Lite, ML Kit, and other Android ML tools
* Good understanding of iOS and Swift - able to read and understand iOS SDKs
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
* Experience working as a part of a distributed team
* Extended experience with Git and version control
* Experience with CoreML and iOS Vision Library would be a plus.
* Immediate availability and ability to work 30+ hours per week.
