Sr. MS SQL Server DBA / SQL Server Expert (On-going)

We are an established provider of advanced database solutions and enterprise database support services spanning all major database platforms (SQL Server / Oracle as well as Big Data, etc).

We are growing fast and currently have an opening for a Senior SQL Server DBA / Architect to work remotely.

In this role, you will be working on multiple complex, enterprise-level SQL Server environments.

One specific environment will involve assisting with the design of a new AlwaysOn configuration.

This environment may also utilize Azure instances.

For this position, we are looking for a true rock star SQL Server DBA who also has prior extensive background in architecture design, and some T-SQL development, specifically:

- Experience working in complex (enterprise-level) SQL Server environments
- Full understanding of SQL Server internals
- Expert-level understanding of advanced performance and scalability concepts
- Expert-level performance troubleshooting skills using variety of approaches (DMVs, Perfmon, Profiler, wait stats,extended events, memory pressure analysis, etc.)
- Experience with complex data migration projects where performance is a key consideration
