Technical Copyeditor of Legal Contracts, Banking and Licensing Product Content, Compliance Docs

I run a fintech consulting company offering banking, licensing, product, and business development services. I am looking for a Technical Copyeditor who can review and proof-read documents on a need-basis that could grow into consistent work.

I currently need someone to review a contract to a client ASAP. It is based off of a boilerplate consulting contract developed by my lawyers specifically for my business. However, Ive tailored it to a specific client. I now need a copyeditor to check for clarity, math mistakes in fee details, and any inconsistencies and contradictions in the language that may have resulted from me altering the template. Having legal training does not hurt but ABSOLUTELY is not necessary. The contract needs to make sense to non-legal people and free of mistakes. Copyeditor does not need to know the correct answer but at least be able to flag when something needs a closer look.

If this goes well other types of assignments include:
- Proof reading banking and licensing marketing materials (white papers, pitch decks, sales sheets, etc.)
- Proof reading compliance documents
- Compare research with research documents to ensure figures are accurate
- Filling out and/or proof reading compliance applications to be consistent with applicants documents

Requirements:
1. High attention to detail to spot inconsistencies, contradictions, missing or unnecessarily duplicated, and illogical statements in documents.
2. Basic Algebra skills to notice when percentages dont equal 100% or totals are wrong.
3. Strong grasp of English language to correct grammar, spelling, and awkward statements for clarity purposes. Rather than for editorial purposes.
4. Not afraid to ask me questions to ensure that you understand the assignment and the objective.
5. Not intimidated by new subjects and can research and ask questions to ensure understanding.
