Urban Windows & Doors provides sales, fabrication and installation of aluminium windows and doors to the residential and commercial markets throughout Adelaide.
We are seeking an experienced, focused and diligent Estimator to join our team..
The Role will require you to do the following tasks and is not limited to:
- Identify available projects to tender.
- Arrange opportunity to provide price:
O By arranging and attending meetings with necessary parties;
o By discussing project with builders estimators and arranging documents.
- Review the tender documents and identify:
o Any discrepancies in the documents which require clarification and get clarification;
o Any opportunities the documents present to offer alternatives which provide a pricing advantage to the company;
o Any contractual issues which may be a problem and discuss with the Operations Manager;
o Any design issues which may be a problem or provide an advantage and discuss with Designer
- Take off and put together the correct price in accordance with the companys policies.
- Provide a tender to the appropriate clients that:
o Is clear in the scope of works;
o Is clear in the inclusions and exclusions;
o Clarifies any alternatives offered;
o Identifies all documents that the tender is based on;
o Raises any design or contractual issues and how they are dealt with in the tender;
o Is clear on the price.
- Follow up all tenders provided.
- When Tender is successful:
o Review documents provided by client for construction to compare with tender documents to identify any discrepancies. Discuss any issues with Operations Manager and resolve as agreed.
o Prepare the Job File and present to Operations Manager;
