Woocommerce Streamlining and Development

We run a successful online business, but are struggling with the speed of Woocommerce, especially on the back end when adding/editing products.

I have a feeling that because of the number of products and variations that we have our database tables have simply gotten too large to be manageable.

We are currently hosted on Google Cloud with a dedicated SQL server attached. This hasnt helped. Ive run various Wordpress optimizing plugins to no avail.

We currently have an E and a D score from GTmetrix.

Does Woocommerce need some tweaking or do we need to move to a different eCommerce solution entirely?

We would be looking for you to make improvements to get our site running up to speed.
