Wordpress image formatting issue

Wordpress website, when uploading images to case study pages, the images seem to resize to 1200x777 which as a result is lowering the resolution on the images. I need the quality of the images to be much higher.
I will share a high resolution image that I upload (high res) and one pulled from the website after upload (low res) with shortlisted candidates.

I imagine I need css styling or code added so that the images dont get resized to low quality.

Imagine this is a relatively quick fix. Need fixing ASAP.
