DevOps Engineer for Big Data Platform

We are looking for a part-time (-2-3 days / week) DevOps engineer that is experienced with data platforms to become part of the team and lead our DevOps efforts.

Responsibilities:

- Build tools for the R&D
- CI/CD implementations
- Enhance our cloud deployments
- Optimize performance of our big data processing infrastructure and resources

Who are you?

- Software engineer with an infrastructure background (Big Data infrastructure is an advantage)
- A self-managed person with the ability to manage others
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional partners and independently drive projects and decisions
- Experience balancing complexity and simplicity
- 3+ experience in DevOps including at least 1 mainstream cloud (AWS / Google Cloud / Azure)
- Experience in configuration management: Terraform / Ansible / Chef / Puppet
- Breathe containerized microservices using: Kubernetes / Docker / ECS / GKE
- Apache Spark / Apache Airflow / Python / AWS Fargate - Advantages
