Using UTF-8 with PHP on Vertica database

I need an php script example of how to include and update records with Chinese, Korean and Arabic characters in a Vertica database. This script must:
- connect Vertica database using ODBC
- run in an Ubuntu16 server
- be compatible with PHP 7.0
- be compatible with Vertica Analytic Database v9.1.1-0
- use parameterized query odbc_prepare() and odbc_execute
I also need specific server settings if needed.
