ABAP developer

Quinaptis is looking to work with SAP technical consultants via a software company. No solo-flyers.

What will you be responsible for?

- Provide state-of-art technical support for the SAP Financial and Supply Chain systems maintenance and enhancements including integration to other systems
- Work with project teams to develop and resolve SAP ABAP issues
- Proactively identify performance bottlenecks in the systems and come up with original and technically scalable solutions
- Design and deliver high-quality solutions through system configuration and/or ABAP technical development that meet overall business requirements
- Act as an internal consultant to lead discussions and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop requirements and solutions and conducts business and technical reviews to validate findings
- Document current systems and develop recommendations on how to proceed with solutions
- Evaluate new technologies and lead cross-organizational teams to analyze, select, and integrate these technologies with existing services
- Works closely with staff to develop IT roadmaps and strategies that integrate across multiple service areas
- Identify, assess impact, and provide a recommendation for resolution of issues related to SCM and financial business processes, procedural and system changes; escalating problems of high complexity and severity
- Perform and/or coordinate testing to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the solution

What does our ideal ABAP Developer look like?

EXPERIENCE
- 8 - 10 years of SAP experience required
- Experience supporting complex business solutions
- Superior testing skills to conduct unit and SIT testing of work performed
- Experience with SAP integration solutions and products
- Experience in production configuration and aiding in functional change requests
- Hands-on experience with data migration

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
- ABAP, ABAP OO, CRM Web UI, WEBDYNPRO ABAP, IDOC, BAPI, User Exits, BADI, batch input, SAP Gateway/SAP FIORI Apps design, and development
- Java/SAP integration knowledge a plus
- Experience with configuration in the areas of SAP SCM and/or FI-CO
- Strong understanding of IT project management SDLC processes and methodologies, such as Waterfall, Agile Scrum and associated best practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
