Cyber Security Support Specialist

We are seeking a Cyber Security Support Specialist who is willing to work with our client - one of the largest banking and financial institution in the world. As a Support Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting the management of information security policies, procedures, and technical systems in order to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all organizational information systems.


Responsibilities:

Performing operational support of various security tools deployed across.
Implementing system security policy, client and host access, file permissions and user accounts.
Day-to-day administration and maintenance of network.
Supporting the delivery of tooling to implement controls ensuring compliance with business Information security policies and standards globally including any regulatory requirements.
Monitoring system security relating to resiliency, malware intrusion and patching Installation, maintenance, and upgrade of software.
Testing, debugging application systems in an operational environment.
Supporting the assessment of new technology products and projects.


Requirements
Min. 1 year of demonstrable experience in Information Technology or Cyber Security pertinent to this role.
Solid oral and written communication skills and being able to clarify complex concepts.
Handling proper vendor escalations.
Understanding of security in the context of wider industry trends and direction.


Nice to have:

Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Perl, Python or Bash.
Working experience of supporting Cyber Security tools such as Symantec, McAfee or Splunk.
Working knowledge of application monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Tivoli etc.
