Seeking Brief Consultation and Recommendation Involving Hydromorphic Materials

Seeking expert advice on hydromorphic polymers and/or similar materials. Im undertaking a project that requires a polymer or other material capable of absorbing water. The ideal material would experience an increase in volume highly disproportionate to the amount of water it is exposed to (i.e A small amount of water would cause a large increase in volume). Im seeking a recommendation for a material that fits this description.
