Senior Developer for Cosmetics Brand

We are looking for a top flight Senior WordPress/PHP Developer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with WooCommerce, object caching and writing clean, concise, scalable application code. Since this is a senior level position we are looking for someone with an ability to manage a small IT team in developing new features including extending core plugins or creating new plugins that will facilitate company operations. You must have experience working on a large-scale system to make it faster, increasingly scalable and fully fault-tolerant.

HOW YOULL SPEND YOUR TIME:
Managing our company code repository
Creating new plugins and extensions for feature enhancements as well as developing new features
Overseeing the development process and approving merge requests from developers
Eliminating bugs and addressing potential bottlenecks in the application
Integrating 3rd party APIs as and when required to facilitate operations for new features
Maintaining and enhancing the LiveGlam application upgrade process
Managing the integrations of 3rd party API connections and integrations used for affiliate tracking, conversion tracking, email list management, facebook ad campaigns, google analytics and new integrations that might be added in the future
Upskilling the developers on new technology when required
Working closely with the DevOps to maintain website stability and resolve issues
Extending technology platform and supporting the Technology Director in making strategic technology upgrade decisions
Managing AWS servers and load balancing functions

WHAT YOU HAVE:
Proof of age (must be at least 18 years old)
Proficiency in oral and written English
Bachelors degree in computer science as well as various related certifications
Experience in managing development teams of 4 or more
Extensive experience in wordpress, woocommerce plugin development, theme development, speed optimization, caching technology, AWS server experience, load balancing functions and application scalability
Expertise on LAMP stack
Experience working on an Nginx web server
Expertise in popular Front end development frameworks
Experience on PHP development frameworks such as Laravel and CakePHP
Expertise in setting up development environments and automating tasks using toolkits like gulp and grunt
Experience in managing and creating new metrics using complex Mysql queries as well as in performance tuning existing Mysql queries on Mysql-based reporting tool

WHO OVERSEES YOU:
The Senior Developer reports to the Technology Director with whom he or she will have regular and significant interaction related to application development and operational issues, including bug fixes, scalability issues, resolutions, feature enhancements and development roadmap.

WHO YOU OVERSEE:
A team of 4 to 8 developers working on the same project.

WHERE IT ALL GOES DOWN:
Our Senior Developer will work remotely from home or personal office and will be required to utilize time tracking software to log and submit work hours.

WHEN THE MAGIC HAPPENS:
The typical work schedule is Monday - Friday, 9:30AM - 5:30PM PST; however, weekend work or extended hours may be required depending upon the complexity and urgency of the tasks at hand.
