Software Developer (Machine Learning and NLP)

The goal at the heart of our business is to automate the automatable and provide useful digital solutions for an international customer base.

We are an ambitious small and growing team that is headquartered in London but live and work remotely all over the world.

The opportunity

You will be instrumental in the creation of our products, delivering research and development that will have an impact on the productivity of millions of people around the world.

Your work will shape our products, helping us to deliver functionality that solves problems that will improve the lives of our users.

You will innovate and be exposed to interesting challenges along the way that you will address with your strong problem-solving capabilities.

You will contribute well-thought-out technical solutions and production-level code that will be incorporated into our product codebase.

You will have a pragmatic approach that means that our team will achieve excellent results in the best way possible.


We need you to have:

- Proficiency in Python software development
- Expertise in natural language processing
- Expertise in machine learning and experience using machine learning libraries and frameworks
- Experience working with relational databases
- Experience designing and developing algorithms
- Experience performing statistical analysis and refining models
- Ability to embed software security best practices within your code
- Outstanding problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and team-player abilities
- Project management and time management skills
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Responsibility and accountability for your outputs
- Adaptable and flexible to workload
- Pragmatic approach in everything you do

It would be great if you have:

- Experience with Ruby on Rails or a similar web framework
- Experience adding automated unit tests to your code
- Industry natural language processing experience
- Image/video processing capabilities
- Experience working remotely
- Experience working within a start-up
- Agile software development understanding
