We are looking for a Solutions Architect to join a skilled team in developing several of our projects related to AWS. The position is available to work either in our offices in Kharkiv, Ukraine, or remotely.
As the Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for converting the technical requirements of a project into the architecture and design that will guide the final product. You will be also responsible for bridging the gaps between complex business problems and solutions in the cloud.
Responsibilities:
- Develop of Cloud Architecture Design
- Study the existing technology landscape and understand current application workloads
- Understand and document technical requirements from clients
- Define Migration strategy to move an application to the cloud
- Develop architecture blueprints and detailed documentation. Create a bill of materials, including required Cloud Services (such as EC2, S3, etc.) and tools;
- Design the overall Virtual Private Cloud VPC environment including server instance, storage instances, subnets, availability zones, etc.
- Design the AWS network architecture including VPN connectivity between regions and subnets
- Set up process, services, and tools around cloud
- Oversee the build of the environment
- Execute the migration plan
- Leverage appropriate AWS services
- Validate the environment to meets all security and compliance controls
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience on Ruby on Rails and Angular. React and Node.js would be a plus.
- 3-5 years of relevant systems engineering experience (e.g. example former roles. may be principal system administrator, principal software developer, or senior systems architect, or a combination of the above with respect to AWS technologies).
- Demonstrated experience in designing and developing complex distributed IT solutions (e.g. cloud, distributed systems or high-performance computing experience).
- Expertise in infrastructure architectures including server, networking and storage technologies
- Experience with application migration decision making (e.g. understand operational complexity of architecture option 1 versus option 2).
- Demonstrated passion for infrastructure as code, continuous improvement, and a can-do attitude.
