Wordpress Theme Updates Needed - Experienced Full Stack Developer

We are looking for an experienced senior Wordpress developer to help us implement a recent redesign of a few inner pages of our WordPress based web app. Site is complex and uses a custom theme based on Sage 9 starter theme, Bootstrap, and Vue.js. This is primarily an HTML to WordPress project but may need some backend work as well.

Here are our priority needs:
- Integrate newly converted HTML pages into existing theme (PSDs have already been converted to HTML)
- Adding CSS and JS animations where needed
- Add, update, and remove site elements where needed including header, footer, navigation buttons, links, and menus
- Provide suggestions and input on page UI and layout modifications for both desktop and mobile devices.

Wordpress experience required:
- Strong experience building and improving Wordpress themes. Ideal candidate will already have experience with Sage (Roots.io).
- Custom post types and Advanced Custom Fields
- Strict separation of content and theme


Technical qualifications
- Extensive experience with Bootstrap
- Version control via Git
- UI/UX fundamentals
- Strong experience with PHP development and troubleshooting
- Adept understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
- Experience with Vue.js
- Experience with MySQL and a foundational understanding of basic SQL commands
- Strong knowledge of standards-based web development and cross-platform compatibility

Communication:
We are looking for developers with strong communication skills that take the time to ask questions to fully understand the project goals and scope. We will provide full documentation and primarily work within Trello and Slack. Candidates that thoroughly answer our pre interview questions will be given preference.

IMPORTANT: You will need to be available via these platforms at least a few hours each day within the PST timezone.
