Looking for a graphic designer with a strong logo design and brand identity talents who can create and carry visual ideas to logos, brand touchpoints, websites and beyond. My company plays heavily with archetypes when designing brands, so I need a designer who is comfortable in this world and can storytell off a brief that says things like, 'this brand is the magician.' I like a clean but warm aesthetic that - above all - conveys emotion. The ideal designer will be able to bring to life brand personas within a brand's positioning and identity such as the lover, the ruler, the creator, the visionary, the sage, and so on, while addressing the other aspects of the brief (the big brand idea). Ideally you're skilled in key aspects of visual storytelling, meaning:
-color psychology is something you know, get, and build into brands;
-you play in a world of shapes and fonts to convey brand attributes;
-you can leverage key brand facts (like a company's heritage or brand building blocks) and build a visual story around that as part of the brand identity;
-you can take a brief that says 'give me a logo that says forward-thinking, heroic, and an industry leader' and design an emotive logo that captures that;
-you are skilled at shaping a keynote or powerpoint to be a visually gorgeous presentation with the right stylistic touches;
-you know where to find truly breathtaking creative images that are not stock photography to convey a brand feeling;
-you are gifted with layouts and can design collateral materials (from business cards to swag) for clients in an aesthetically pleasing and on-brand way;
-you make work better by taking away clutter and you use design to make content more elegant and appealing.
I know this is a tall order, and if this is you, you are special and worth your price. It's about finding the right fit.
