Our company is developing a salad vending machine, and we're looking for a mechatronics engineer to join our team in Shenzhen.
The machine offers -25 ingredients such as lettuces, veggies, meats, etc in separate dispensers. Customers can order on a mobile app or tablet at the machine, and once an order is placed, a bowl will be moved around the machine, and the ingredients/dressing will be dispensed into it. The bowl will then be capped, mixed, and dispensed into one of our lockers, and the end to end process will take less than 3 minutes.
The role will include the following responsibilities:
- Implement already existing mechanical designs
- Integrate electronics/control systems with existing mechanical designs
- Troubleshoot machine components that are not performing - including rethinking and rewriting the test code, redesigning the CAD model, sourcing new parts/materials
- Design and carry out repeatability and durability testing of prototyped components
- Collaborate with embedded/systems engineer to ensure overall electronics scheme for the product is complete and robust
Skills
- CAD - preferably Solidworks
- Arduino programming
- Familiarity with 3D printing, especially CAD design for 3D printing
- Basic fabrication/mechanical shop skills
- Experience sourcing materials/vendors in the Chinese market (Taobao, Alibaba)
Preferred
- Experience with electronics wiring for a complex robot/machine
- Experience with welded frame design/sheet metal parts design
