Job Description
The opportunity is for Mobile Field Testing of several products as smartphones, tablets, chipsets, SIM Cards, and many other devices as IoT products. The resource is responsible to perform the tests following the requirements in test cases, report failures found and/or behavior not accepted aiming a smooth and no issues Carrier Homologation and higher product quality for End-Users.
The day-to-day:
- Receive devices prototypes, flash, and update the software version installed, preparing the prototypes for testing using a specific Test Plan;
- Collect logs during the execution of the test, annotate information, and report detailed the issues found (issue scenario, steps to reproduce, software version, etc). If a specific logging tool is required, as QXDM, we will provide you the tool and its license when applicable.
- There are Drive Test to be performed outside, on the go. Someone else must drive the vehicle,
- There are Drive Tests that are performed outside on the go in specific testing routes defined by customers or local carriers. When performing Drive Tests, ensure someone else drives the vehicle while you perform the tests and collect logs.
- Functional and Performance tests are statics and ensure you perform each one of them on each device under testing.
- Prepare and Send Daily Progress Reports with daily achievements and Issues found
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunication or correlated areas;
- Basic knowledge of operating mobile device, configuring and using it under different scenarios;
- Experience in testing Device-Network interoperability tests
- Understand the GSM/WCDMA/LTE/5G Networks and interact technically with Carriers and Device Manufacturers;
- Comfortable to work as Home-Office and often available to Travel;
- Work Permit and local residence
Profile:
- High commitment with deadlines and results;
- Hands-on and responsible, understanding the impact of failure on customers and end-users;
- Knowledge in Mobile Networks (GSM/WCDMA/LTE, VoLTE, Carrier Aggregation, etc);
- Perform manual software tests in mobile devices: describe and revise issues found;
- Excellent communication skill is a requirement. Our teams work very closely to allow them to excel in performance, quality, and timing.
- The tester must possess both written and oral English communication skills to sync up with training, procedures, test case execution, and follow-ups.
Bonus Points:
- Experience in software test and issues report;
- Field tests, write and update test cases;
