We are looking for an Accountant to provide support to the financial department during a peak period, by managing daily accounting tasks. You will support of the EMEA accounting department located in our Brussels office (4 legal entities in Europe) with the possibilitiy to work remotely from time to time.
Responsibilities
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded at month end
- Processing of accounts receivable payments and perform reconciliations
- Scanning and processing of invoices in accounts payable and perform reconciliations
- Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
- Assist in reviewing expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
- Update financial data in databases to ensure that information is accurate and immediately available when needed
- Prepare and submit ad hoc reporting
- Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
- Assist with other accounting projects (e.g. new ERP implementation)
