Were looking for a fun, intelligent and professional copywriter to join our team. Our company has over 2 million followers with a growing digital agency and have over 30 social media brands under management. Work would include writing ads/promotions, emails, press releases, writing bids for corporate clients etc.
Part of what we do is help companies get exposure to target fan bases on social media. We also help arrange tours and other media/PR related tasks that require us to help communicate succinctly the value our clients services bring to the desired audiences.
Were looking for someone who will write compelling social media posts/press releases/email copy etc. for those clients. This role involves some ad-hoc work at short notice when we get an urgent request in from a client.
Press releases are fairly brief (300-500 words) but must also include relevant topics of the day that valdate the story. Most social posts are under 800 **characters (not words)** (tweets under 280). All posts require use of client-specific, in addition to, trending/valuable relevant popular hashtags (which you will research on ritetag or hashtagifyme ).
ABOUT THE RIGHT CANDIDATE:
The work would require the skill of both creative and sales writing to entice people to check out our clients offer. You will have the ability to demonstrate during the interview that you can communicate without being cheesy. You should be able to come up with ideas, be a self-starter and not particularly prone to writers-block. You have a keen interest in social media and furthering your freelance writing/copywriting career. Youre passionate, conscientious, authentic and have a vibrant can-do attitude.
ABOUT THE OFFER:
Ideally, were looking for someone who can offer a maximum number of hours a week they can give to us on this contract in a retainer-type situation. We wont pay in excess of that unless workload exceeds the agreed times.
This would suit someone who ultimately wants a great addition to their resume since this contract will lead to writing for celebrities, experts, corporate clients of ours and others.
Whilst the offered compensation is a modest base our desire is to build up a team of experienced writers whose income is linked to performance. We have chosen the compensation model carefully to ensure that the appointed person is committed to delivering value for the payment we make - as opposed to some who simply want an hourly wage and take a long time to produce the work output.
Most projects take about 30 mins to complete - some a little more. You would need to take responsibility for a project end to end and push for approval so that it can be submitted to the client. Youll need to be very communicative so we can reach back to you for amendments if needed. All projects should be perfect grammatically and ready-to-publish.
$$ COMPENSATION $$
The successful candidate will be compensated in 3 ways:
1. A base of $125 per month for an agreeable number of hours of ad-hoc availability throughout the month (about 5-8 hours a week) you will write any required copy during this time (press releases, brief articles/advertorials, social promotional posts or promotional emails/DM messages etc).
2. After the base hours/assignments agreed are done, youll receive $5 for each assignment you create that matches the client brief and goes LIVE (which is how we are paid).
3. Separately as an added incentive, you can boost your income by receiving $10-15 for EACH successful bid you make with potential clients where you also produce the creative for that client which goes on to be approved. (You should allow extra time to bid outside the base hours for this - it is flexible time, but will need to be agreed upon).
[Example of how this works is: You receive a client brief and need to secure it by advising them in a few short paragraphs why we would be a good fit for that promotion. In the case that you successfully win the bid and go on to produce the creatives for that one and, say, 30 ads in a month the compensation would be up to $575 total for that month part-time]
