Wholesale Fashion Buyer Based In Istanbul

This is a unique opportunity for an individual with a background in fashion buying and modest fashion looking for a new challenge. We are an online trend-led modest fashion brand serving todays Muslim millennials across the globe.

You will work closely with our managing director to curate and source the hottest fast-fashion pieces for todays conscious modest dressers. You will examine, select, order, and purchase the most favourable price merchandise consistent with quality, quantity, specification requirements and other factors.

The ideal candidate will need to visit one of Istanbuls busiest wholesale fashion districts twice a month to meet and source new products and vendors.

Responsibilities

- Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers as well as constantly identifying new ones.
- Meeting suppliers, negotiating terms of contract and purchasing products
- Regularly reviewing existing items constantly being aware of current and future trends
- Understanding of modest fashion and Muslim consumer market is an advantage
- Trend-Forecasting and researching competitors
- Negotiate prices, discount terms and transportation arrangements for merchandise

Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in fashion buying, textiles
- Fluent in English and Turkish
- Experience in wholesale fashion buying within Istanbul
- Understanding of Modest fashion market and Muslim consumers is a bonus
- Based in Istanbul and expertise in vendor management and series MOQ
- Knowledge of, supply chain management logistics and shipping
- Strong communication skills
