Optimize (make it better and faster) and extend (add a large set of new and/or improved functionality) a very large existing CakePHP application that works with MariaDB and Elasticsearch. The work is 95% backend and 5% frontend, but the frontend will be optimised later by one of our frontenders.
We are only looking for highly experienced CakePHP developers. Only respond if you have multiple and recent years of experience with CakePHP 3.x (not 2) and have at least 5 years experience with backend PHP and at least one year of good experience with writing complex queries for elastic search. Note: we are trained CakePHP 3 specialists and will not work with you unless you are fantastic at using this framework.
We expect ongoing commits and pushing to our bitbucket server.
Ci/cd knowledge is not mandatory but it would be very welcome.
We have a 10 head software development team in The Netherlands and work with atlassian stack for code reviews / pull requests, deployment etc.
