Context
We are in the process of launching a start-up. The business idea has been formalized and we now require the development of a full brand identity (name, logo, colours, font, etc.). It is important that we can work with someone who brings creativity to the project and can understand our business, our target customer base, what our product is and therefore help choose a name & brand identity that conveys this in a powerful way.
Business description & requirements
Our company will focus on the emotional and mental well-being of women (and their partners) who struggle with infertility. Our target customers will be primarily women between the ages of 25-45 who are in some stage of the infertility journey whether that is seeking medical advice, choosing a treatment, currently undergoing a form of infertility treatment or other aspects of the journey. We will provide more details to the chosen provider.
Our company will be global, so the name & brand identity needs to be easily recognizable across languages & cultures.
The primary engagement from customers with our company will be via an app and therefore everything should be optimized for this from day one.
Process
We would expect the process to consist of the following (or similar, we welcome additional suggestions)
1) Initial brief by us about the business, the product, what we want the company to stand for and what feelings / emotions we want to create in customers. It is important that the provider we work with is skilled in this process and can fully understand us, take our brief and with creativity can move on to the next steps
2) Iteration of the brand concept / principles via various tools (e.g. moodboards, colour schemes, examples of other brands) to move towards our identity
Development of various names & logo options, starting with initial high-level ideas / sketches / concepts before detailing further
3) Iteration of names & logos to converge on final option
4) Development of all deliverables with iteration, quality control and sign-off
5) Handover of all deliverables
We will be able to iterate frequently and provide input often and when necessary to ensure no time is wasted on your side.
Deliverables
The project should deliver the overall brand identify for the business and deliver the following:
1) Business Name & logo in usual formats / formats for various purposes (e.g. website, social media, app, print, letterhead, business card)
2) Colour scheme & Font: Detailed colour scheme and fonts to be used in multiple context, overall optimized for online content to be delivered by a mobile app. This needs to be sufficiently clear and detailed in order for the app development to work of this once the development begins.
3) Launch website: .com domain name (to be aligned to the business name) with a simple launch website - consisting of appealing picture / photo, very simple introduction to the business and ability to a) add name & email address for the launch and b) download the app. VERY simple!
4) Welcome animation to be used in the app; short 2-3 seconds, in a format that can easily be integrated in the app or other applications
5) Powerpoint template: Simple powerpoint template (that is also compatible with Google Docs) on the basis of the name, logo and the colour and font scheme above.
Timeline
We would like to start this project as soon as possible but can complete it over the coming few weeks - it is more important to get the quality right rather than rush through.
We are open to any form of provider, but prefer someone who can demonstrate relevant experience in similar projects and is able to address all of the deliverables.
Please provide us with a fee proposal - we prefer a fixed fee for the outlined scope and an agreed hourly rate for any incremental work.
