This position is a contract position for a fast paced and innovative build of a new eHealth platform.
You will be working in a seed funded startup with an aim to disrupt the dental industry by improving patient consulting experience whilst also allowing dentists greater working flexibility
We're looking for someone with a passion for technology and experience building proof of concept devices with a Raspberry Pi.
The project scope
The project will extend upon our existing react application which uses the React camera API to allow users to take pictures of their teeth. We had intended to purchase an off the shelf camera to integrate with but we have found the market lacking a plug and play camera that does not use proprietary software.
The project will require completion of the following tasks:
- Building a proof of concept camera that can interact with the React Camera API
- Using the OpenCV library to enable image stitching and processing
- Purchasing of required hardware to build 3 versions of the approved proof of concept (material cost to be covered)
Successful Applicants
The successful applicant will be able to take well scoped business requirements, provide professional advice and guidance to design a device that suits the project goals.
The successful applicant will be evaluated against the following criteria:
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to learn on the job
- An ability to understand and deliver to project requirements and specifications
- Strong solution design capabilities
- Comfortable with working remote and collaborating closely with a project lead
- Ability to self manage time and meet deadlines
The successful applicant will have experience in the following technologies:
- Raspberry Pi compatible hardware
- Arduino
- React Camera API
- Serverless technologies like Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services
- Open CV for image processing
This interview process will include 1 interview before successful applicants will be selected. A non disclosure agreement will be sent prior to the interview process.
