- You are in position to make material recommendations based on experience.
- You can make manufacturing recommendations based on experience.
- Ideally, work with China.
We are creating a lock product for vans, that is external and exposed to the weather.
We are getting samples made in China as we speak and have an ABS prototype in the UK that works fine.
The samples we are getting made are from 6016 al using CNC.
However, I am getting recommendations for ADC12.
Also, I have considered stainless steel but I am mindful of the weight and extra cost, albeit I am happy to pay the extra for quality.
Some things to consider.
The product needs to have a really nice shiny smooth black metallic finish.
The product needs to be 100% corrosion-proof/rustproof.
The product needs to be strong, with good impact strength. Being able to handle a pry bar, hammer etc.
It should be resistant to wear and tear and colour/paint fade.
It will be used many times a day and take a lot of knocks, it must be durable.
I have attached our NNN it is in Chinese and English.
