Growing SaaS company seeking a COO who reports directly to the CEO. We are a small organization so this position will wear many hats and fill in for the CEO on an as needed basis. Our company is well established so we are specifically looking for someone who can adapt our processes (as opposed to a person who wants to start from a clean slate) and roll up their sleeves to get the job done. We don't yet know if this will be a part-time or full-time role - it will depend on the skill set of the person we find.

The ideal candidate has the following characteristics:
Loves to scale businesses from the ground up
A passion for being of service to customers, staff members and the organization.
Comfortable in most small company roles from administrative (e.g. scheduling meetings) to managing the team and chasing down deliverables to strategic thinking and planning.
Experience as a SaaS Sales Engineer, QA manager, Product Manager or Professional Services SaaS manager.
Experience directly working with large enterprise customers on SaaS offerings
Entrepreneurial mindset & flexibility to change direction as needed
Able to work in ambiguity for long periods of time
Natural ability to organize and report (i.e. is highly organized and continually overcommunicates with written reporting)
Comfortable picking up the phone and calling customers or prospects (cold if necessary)
Comfortable making videos to explain products and processes
Naturally detail oriented
Able to easily prioritize for yourself and others on the team
Highly accountable and keeps agreements
Has a great deal of flexibility in hours you can work - this job requires working a global clock on an as needed basis
Highly energetic & ambitious in career goals to learn how to be the CEO of a SaaS company
Very clear and concise communicator in both written and spoken English
Has a natural talent and inclination to create simple processes for scaling the organization
Is able to patiently able to train others, while at the same time being able to perfectly ascertain if someone is not the right fit
Is proactive and tenacious
Easily fits in with our team and naturally understands American corporate professional etiquette
Has a proven track record of successful remote work
Can provide multiple references
Enjoys being talkative and friendly and doesn't hesitate to pick up the phone or text message team members or customers while at work
Loves to manage and keep timelines on track
Naturally uses reflective listening in work communications and can demonstrate an ability to understand quickly in a conversation
Is a very quick technology learner and can easily adjust and accept changing technology marketplace needs
Regularly overlaps with a minimum of 4-5 hours with PST (North American timezone)
Is the kind of person who likes to be connected much of the time and gets deeply involved in their work
Highly Resourceful

A few notes about our interview process:
Step 1 - short video call
Pre-screen video interview and reference gathering [we do not call references until after Step 2]

Step 2
Phone interview with hiring manager(s)

Step 3
Assign a series of small test projects (2-5 hours) over a period of 2-4 weeks

We hire via Toogit and use the Toogit Work diary for payment time tracking.
