You will provide Cyber Incident and Project Support (1st and 2nd Line) including managing our Managed Antivirus Platform for clients based in the United Kingdom between 8pm and 5pm GMT.
Not only are you an experienced Cyber Security Technician, you are also experienced in providing support to end users and have a solid background in IT. You are enthusiastic, personable and ambitious. You will have experience with a wide variety of Cyber tools, technologies and disciplines. Whilst you may not have extensive past experience, you certainly have proven current experience (last 3 years) with current technology and have held posts in the Cyber Security / Information Security industry within the last 12 months. You can work on your own, but love/thrive to work as part of a team and are an exceptional communicator at all levels.
All candidates must pass a Psychometric test prior to successful appointment.
*Responsibilities and Duties*
As a Cyber Security Technician, your duties will include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Resolving 1st and 2nd Line Support requests directly from managed security services clients using existing skills and knowledge as well as where appropriate, using relevant support and vendor resources to find resolution. This will have a significant client facing aspect
- Work on Cyber Security projects including Reconnaissance, Social Engineering, cyber health reviews, SIEM deployment, new client service deployments and act as a specialist adviser to our existing Technical team (1st, 2nd, 3rd Line and Project Teams). You will report directly to the Technical Director.
- Performing advanced investigation/analysis, which may also include working together with Vendors to resolve challenging, complex faults
- As a Cyber Security Technician, you will provide direct support to clients and team members including participating in knowledge transfer and training to other helpdesk technicians. Additionally, you will be responsible for reporting and escalating cyber incidents and faults to 3rd Line Support and/or the Technical Director as per pre-defined parameters
- Actively participate in reviewing and proposing improvements to existing processes, procedures, systems and services to ensure service delivery remains efficient, effective and industry leading at all times
