Required Network Security,Issue Tracking Systems freelancer for Data Breach Checks job

Hi,

So we wanted an outside consultant to check our findings on an incident wherein our employees email id was cloned with a different domain but similar to ours and that imposter reached out to our clients asking for payment to a different bank account. Upon investigating, we found that the hacker registered a domain in USA, however we are not too sure whether our machine/network was compromised or it a breach at our client's end.

We need someone with Info Security expertise to conduct checks, validate our findings or do more robust vetting of the system so we can take it up the client. Penetration tests etc. would be next on agenda.
