JOB SUMMARY:
Senior Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for managing timely planning, procurement, and delivery of high quality, cost-effective goods, and services from the supply base.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Analyze demand data and sales history to determine optimal safety stock, inventory levels, and order quantities utilizing supply base and commodity-specific knowledge.
- Work internally and suppliers to optimize inventory quantities and continuously reduce costs and inventory levels.
- Determine root causes of part shortages and implement short term and permanent fixes.
- Resolve quality issues with purchased materials and deploy corrective process improvements.
- Liaison with 3rd party warehouses across the globe (USA, Canada, UK, UAE) to receive and ship inventory
- Optimize inventory order quantity based on desired restock levels
- Reconcile various invoice issues.
- Follow through on procurement strategies that enhance competitive advantage
- Act as both risk manager and cost manager in the development and maintenance of strategic supplier relationships.
- Manage the supplier base to ensure the supply of materials, equipment, and services in order to meet current and future production needs.
- Develop and implement effective negotiating strategies.
- Develop and research 3rd party logistic relationships in all markets we operate in
- Benchmark 'best practices' for the purpose of improving the company's purchasing practices.
- Accomplish special projects and other assignments/duties as required by management.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years of experience in strategic procurement (JIT manufacturing environment preferred)
- Experience in freight forwarding and warehousing
- Must have previous experience in manufacturing purchasing and materials control
- APICS certification a plus

- Able to build productive relationships with suppliers and customers. Skilled in using MS Office/Windows in a networked PC environment. Ability to be flexible.
